College circle logo hats

As every true American knows, college football started this past weekend. While there isn't much to say about the games this weekend, every true SEC fan*, and most ACC fans, know that looking good at the game is almost as important as the game itself.

It's pretty common knowledge that the white bar hats made by The Game are de rigeur, but a couple of months back, Ashlyn Stallings, Southern blogger and professional ADPi (TSM), pointed out these hats on her blog. They're also made by The Game, and are available for most SEC and ACC schools (and for some other conferences which also exist, apparently), but come with loads of old school style. Plus, they're only $17. Order one for your favorite school and keep the bill flat so that you look like you stepped out of a tailgate in 1984 (TFM).

*This does not include Florida fans. Jorts, anyone?

Beat me to the punch!

I lost my Game circle hat in 2002 in Vancouver and finally obtained a new one a month or so ago and was going to blog about it. Will probably blog anyway.

Yeah, post one anyways. It'd be good to see one in action.

A good baseball cap and college football go together like black-eyed peas and fried okra.

OMG this takes me back to high school. I went to a new england boarding school in the 90s and I swear every kid had some version of one of these hats.

I think I might buy that UGA hat. DC needs more Bulldog stuff.

Not a fan. These "circle" hats were lame in the 80's and remain so today. Give me the official NCAA logo'd Georgia "G" any day of the week.

However, huge props for the "jorts" photo of that gator fan...awesome and so typical.

I was going to say the same thing as JP - reminds me of all the upper school kids in the late 80's.

THese are cool but a sign of a good ol' boy from the heart of the SEC and ACC is not going to keep it flat. Not then not now... Got to have the curve going.

And those Clemson and UGA hats are just fugly... Need one in the USC Gamecocks logo!

I rocked a UNC "circle" hat back in 8th grade (late '90s). Good times. Not sure I would rock it today, however.

Haha pretty freaking big Trip. XL in tweed caps. I guess it somewhat depends on if I just got a haircut or not. Huge head plus thick hair equals no go in most hats. Might be worth the shot anyways.

I lived in this version of a Baylor cap from 1990 to 1992. Eventually it blew off my head while on a boat ride and was forever lost to the lake. (And I didn't end up going to Baylor.)

Oh, wow, this takes me back. I traded a Rutgers lacrosse hat for a Florida State circle cap at summer camp in 1989, just because it fit my head better. I wore it constantly until 1994 when I drunkenly tried to dry it out next to a campfire and charred off the two rear panels.
